I'm actually more surprised Black Cat has stayed in the top 10! I was expecting it to plunge like a stone after the variant overloaded first issue. I do like the book though so I'm pleased.

"Not counting when Avengers Vs. X-Men double-shipped, July was the first time two X-Men comics finished 1-2 since August 2001. X-Men comics finishing in the top two slots was once incredibly common, back in the 1990s days of Uncanny X-Men and "adjectiveless" X-Men. Indeed, in the latter years of the 1990s it had come to be seen as symbolic of the market's malaise: literally nothing else in comics was going on that was interesting enough to unseat them. August 2001 was right when things were finally turning around."
I really hope the x-men are on their way back to a regular spot at the top.

I can't imagine a more fitting book to earn the stop sales spot.
Also, and this is purely anecdotal, I noticed that my local comic shop ran very low on copies of House of X and Powers of X. They completely sold out of all variant covers. They had a very limited supply of the main issue. So it wasn't just an issue of stories overstocking on these books. They really did sell. I saw plenty of copies of Spider-Man and Batman on the racks. There was not nearly as much for the X-Books.
