Do you mean 2015? Or the Edge of Spider-verse issue?

So it's not acclaimed creators and readership hype that we need. It's waifus and Year of the Villain variants!

    124 Giant Size X-Statix 1 - 18,312

Yeah, I mean 2015. It sold 250k iirc.

The 2018 Venom relaunch did 225k.

I mean, all of the first like 10 Spider-Gwen comics sold big cash money. I think Edge alone sold 400k total.

Great, HOX and POX did better than I expected. I feared that being a relaunch after less than a year of the previous one would hurt more.

Also Uncanny #22 also did better than what I expected for the last issue. People complained but still read it.

This is a marathon and not a sprint, will have to see what the longer term numbers are.
That the numbers didn't blow the roof off was more likely the result of retailers having been burned by X-Men relaunches multiple times before. The big Uncanny relaunch/X-Men Disassembled event from earlier this year turned out to be a treadmill, after all. We'll have to see what the reorders do.

The last Uncanny issues were boosted by Carnage variants.

Exactly BC reported owners saying they were afraid of overorder because they have been burned out before by X-men relaunches- including this new Uncanny one.

I didn't know that but thanks. Still it was okay to see it do fine, it could have been worse.

I know you expected this to do what Whedon pulled on Astonishing X-men but 185K is pretty damn good in 2019
