Batman #75 didn't even make it on the top ten? Jeez. I'm confused, how come #74 sold more than #75 anyway.

People are fed up with King. I really am curious who DC is going to get to replace him on the main book, and how well his BatCat mini is going to sell.

It's kind of ironic that Batman spinoffs make the top 10 instead of the main Batman book.

Issues like 25, 50, 75, 100, etc, always tend to boost sales regardless of who's writing. I'm not sure if King was the problem here.

Batman 75 was listed as two different items, the regular issue and the cardstock cover version (due to different price) so the sales were split.

edit to add: that will be the case with all DC cardstock variants that are $1 more.

Not yet, but a BC article states that Diamond confirmed to them that Batman #75 was 13th in units and 11th in revenue, and the way I read that is it means the $4.99 listing.

Not until the top 100 sales are announced on Sunday - maybe even the top 500 on Monday.

Too much Batman. It seems DC has failed to branch out and develop their other properties.

Marvel has at least some variety with their top 5. But DC top sellers being all Batman books signals some internal deficiency within their organization.

Usually it's just Spider-Man for Marvel though with the occasional book making it into the top 10 thanks to a new #1 or heavy variants.

I mean, other then X-Men and Spider-Man none of their other flagship titles are up there. Just Hulk and Black Cat (who again benefits from variants).

Batman is still the most popular, best selling character. That is good. You cannot hold that against DC. However, how do you credit Marvel for having a varied "top 5" that is just whatever new #1 with tons of variants? That tells us nothing. Look past the gimmick sales. Look at ongoing sales. Justice League and Superman are selling as well or better as anything else out side of Marvel's "top 5".

So the monthly sale chart is going to be almost useless. Since every book with a cardstock cover (which was quite a few of their main titles) is going to have their sales split between the two.

BOOM! This right here is why I have pretty much given up on DC.

Damming that, flagship Batman book dropping as it has.
