    Isn't Gladiator evil?

There'd be no way he should be allowed to use Mjolnir.

He is in no way evil. He's been against the heroes in various books from time to time, but not because he's "evil." OTOH, he's definitely got a Nazi "I was just following orders" vibe going on.

I don't know if comparing them to Nazis is a great way to say someone definitely isn't evil.

But at any rate I'd probably say Gladiator is a good example of someone who is Lawful Neutral-- doing his duty is more important than morality to him.

That's a fair take - both. And I wasn't saying he is a Nazi: he's not trying to genocide people, generally. Nazis are far from the only historical dudes to use "just following orders", but they did take it to the extreme, and, ya know, recency bias and all.

Couldn't Mjolnir just absorb that radiation?

Moreover, when other people weild Mjolnir, don't they effectively get all of Thor's powers, including a god body? Would Gladiator still even have the weakness that plagues him as a mortal?

He'd have to actively will it to do so, and he's already being weakened by the radiation's presence as he does, so it's not a great situation for him.

Beyond that, nothing in the OP states that Gladiator gets Thor's physicality stacked onto his own, just that he can use the hammer like Classic Thor could.

In Denny's terms. We'd call this a 'grand slam'.

Yeah, Gladiator folds pretty easy to that stuff, right? More precrisis Superman than postcrisis.

I just assumed that transforming the weilder is a basic part of the Mjolnir powerset. Even novice wielders transform automatically upon picking up enchanted weapons. It would be weird if an expert user couldn't even consciously access that particular ability. By feats, turning a mortal into a "god" is an established part of what Mjolnir can do.
