It probably seems odd to modern readers that Black Adam only appeared in one story from Fawcett (in the first issue of MARVEL FAMILY), but it starts to make sense when you consider that Captain Marvel already had a bunch of rogues that served the same purpose--like Ibac, King Kull, Mr. Atom, Captain Nazi, et al--so there wasn't any real need to bring Black Adam back for an encore.
