Default Should what happen with Spider-Man and his movies also happened to the Hulk ?

Given what happened to Marvel with Spider-Man and Sony: Could the same thing happen with the Hulk and Universal studios and the Hulk film rights ?

I mean Marvel doesn’t fully own the Hulk’s film rights, right ?

As Hulk fans: What do you think of this ?

    The deals are different.

Universal has first refusal rights for distribution, but can't actually make any movies themselves.

So why can’t the same type of deal be reached at Sony ?

Sony distribution and production rights for Spidey. Universal only owns distribution rights to Hulk.

Sony can make and distribute a Spider-Man movie. Disney can't.

Universal can't make a Hulk movie, Disney could but Universal would have the rights to distribute the film, getting a cut.

They might even be a Hulk movie out of theatres entirely.

Essentially Sony can do whatever they want bwith Spidey films, Hulk is in Limbo.

Don't.know about Spidey. As far as I understand what Universal owns is a right to distribute Hulk properties to Theatres.

They've made animated Hulk features without trouble.

With the She-Hulk Disney+ show announced at D23 Expo it's clearly that Marvel has the TV Rights
"The law of victory is set!" - Sento Kiryu/Kamen Rider Build
"I'll clear this even if it means using continues!" - Kuroto Dan/Kamen Rider Gemm
"You've been warned. We're taking your treasure!" - Kairi Yano/Lupin Red
