"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. F@#K these selfish fools and their prevailing world order." Tony Stark
No Superior Spider-Man solicits
Ominious sollicits for Ironheart
Champions are already dead
Man, that sucks.
Bringing back the old, killing the young: that's the Marvel way
Avengers and FF books my only likely buys, nothing else
Runaways, and maybe a few X-Books if HoX/PoX makes me interested.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.
Immortal X-Men - Once & Future- X-Cellent - X-Men: Red
Nobody cares about what you don't like, they barely care about what you do like.
I admit I've not kept up with a lot of Spencer's stuff but I did like his Superior Foes of Spider-Man. In any case, I will get the Doom 2099 tie in since he's writing that.
I had just remembered that Nick Spencer was the writer on the mysteriously cancelled Victor Von Doom series about his college days some years back. At first it was claimed by some news sources that it was because artist Becky Cloonan was behind on the art. She did finish 4 covers which you can easily find on the internet. the source of that story had to retract their report about Cloonan IIRC. Months later it was given out that because the editor who was in charge was let go (with some other layoffs) that anything he was attached to got cancelled. That one really didn't make sense to me but who knows what goes on behind the scenes?
Glad to see Elektra's still appearing in Savage Avengers, I was hoping she wouldn't get rotated out of the roster too soon. I also think this will be the first time she and Dr. Strange have interacted since her 90's series
Thoughts:
- Sounds like Nova will have to re-form the Annhiliators to face the new threat.
- It's good that comic Carol doesn't have Brie Larson's allergies to cat so they can mine all the cat stuff they can out of her.
- Who expected the 2099 universe to come back in full force? I mean, it's mostly just one-shots but I wonder if they're testing for another attempt at an imprint with it. What's next, an MC2 revival?
- It's weird seeing old-school Yondu covers attached to MCU Yondu's book. He doesn't even have the fin on.
- Ghost Riders! With Johnny and Danny! The dream team back together .
- Who's Doom's best "frenemy?" Reed? Namor? Ben?
- I really like Julie's Future Foundation outfit.
- Sue with a gun. That's a pretty striking visual .
- "Who is the winged warrior named Sky? What’s her shocking connection to the origin of the Human Torch? And how will she change his life FOREVER?" Of course she's a woman...
- That cover for the Negative Zone mini makes me wonder if there'll be conflict between Reed and Sue.
- So is this Web of Black Widow series meant to touch on all the major elements of Black Widow's history (lovers, enemies, etc.) to have in-time for the movie and to maybe act as a refresher for whatever they do next with her?
- Hulk forming his own monster society filled with other Gamma beings? Interesting. I hope he thrashes Agger.
- So is Black Widow "newest member for an arc" on the main Avengers team or newest member period? Although Blade seems to be sticking around. I guess someone has to fill in for Iron Man.
- I wonder if Loki in the old wild west will stumble upon his and Thor's old wild west selves.
- I guess it's fitting Aaron's run would end where it began, with the God-Butcher. I'm also assuming we'll try and see Aaron connect all his various themes and ideas about worthiness, gods, and Thors and try and make it seem a cohesive, thematic, story.
- Can Tony and Jan defeat Pymtron and finally free the real Hank Pym?
- So...is Carol brainwashed? Evil double? Undercover?
- Cap and Namor having a "conversation?" This should be good.
- I wonder how long Coates will draw out this arc with Cap. Then again, considering how long the Space Wakanda story lasted...
- Who's the girl with the domino mask on that Agents of Wakanda cover?
- The Runaways as actual, costumed, Superheroes? Well, I guess they've never done it before.
- "Wilson Fisk may be the Kingpin of Crime no more" c'mon, he still is. It's not like they've set anyone else up in his place.
- Sounds like big development for Kamala and Bruno, but somehow I don't think they'll finally bite the bullet and get them together yet.
- Gwenpoole wielding Mjolnir? At this point wielding an Asgardian hammer just doesn't feel as special anymore .
