Didn’t know that. Interesting, I only knew her as a human sorceress. She’s referred to as a “witch” in Rebirth. We don’t know what her origin is at the moment, whether she’s THE Circe of legend or just someone using the name. Besides you knew what I was talking about, I meant the Olympian drama. Fighting over Zeus throne, that stuff.
Soooo....Is anyone else a little disappointed in the art? Doesn't really seem dynamic enough to me. I prefer The Dodson's cover (I wish they could come back .)

Lol I'm here for Diana slapping Steve's butt
Wonder Woman has had art that was not realistic the last twenty years
when Gail Simone was on the book and Brian Azzarello
I remember easily getting into the story and enjoying it as
the book moved on; appreciated even more when a fill-in artist did a book or more.
Yes--this really comes across in Madeline Miller's recent novel Circe, where despite being a daughter of Helios, Circe has the voice of a mortal and is more vulnerable than other gods. Her vulnerability, combined with her talent for forbidden witchcraft, becomes a big part of her motivations, and she becomes a sympathetic character; I think this could be a good angle for a Wonder Woman run or "elseworlds," and this version of Circe could even become Diana's ally. It might even work in Wilson's run; if she's going to play around with the idea of a relatively friendly Ares, maybe she could do the same with Circe.
