I'll admit I wasn't thrilled with the direction of the show post-Carter, but as the season draws toward a close, things are really kicking into gear and I'm excited for the finale.

"Beta" had an Empire Strikes Back feel, with our heroes against the wall and Finch getting his 'Han frozen in carbonite' moment.

Greer has an added layer of menace (even his tech support fall on their swords for him) and depth (as one reviewer has pointed out, it's surprising that he sees himself as Michelangelo and not God.)

Finch's fiance gets fleshed out beautifully, and I truly hope they'll have a happy ending when all is said and done, living next door to Reese and Zoe.

Looks like Vigilance will be back in action next week!
