Default What genre would you like to see more of from comics?

With the rise of creator owned books, we are seeing a lot more diversity in your average local comic book store as far as what kind of genres you want to read. However, not every genre is represented equally and a lot of recent books seem to fall under science fiction, and almost all of them fall under speculative fiction. Are there certain genres that you think are underrepresented in the current market and could use some focus by comic creators?

    All of them.

I don't know. I tend to think comics are built for action and science fiction just because the medium works well with motion and visually compelling concepts. Something like romance, for instance, I think works far better in prose.

I'd like to see more horror that isn't Zombies. I hate Zombies.

Unabashed creative imagination, not constrained by realism.

I don't know if that's a genre so much as it's a style, but I would love to see more of it in comics.

More horror elements probably. A modernized version of the EC Horror Comics to be exact.

Back in the day, DC had teen comedy books in the vein of Archie. Stuff like Scooter, Bunky, and I think Debbie.

Marvel had Millie the Model and Patsy Walker. I believe Marvel did a comic by Trina Robbins called Misty back in the 80's.

It might be interesting to see an honest attempt at that style of comic these days. There was that updated Millie a few years ago, but...
