I think it's nothing. They only show them to let us know another set of heroes will handle things there while the main group chases child.
How much did Zatanna’s protégés know about her plan to split Dr. Fate into a group of people? While Zatanna’s primary reason behind it can be seen as morally dubious, I will say that her letting everyone know what they are doing is better than Nightwing’s massive planning (keep everyone in the dark) screwups (I wonder if that will recurring theme will be in Nightwing’s arc.). I’m actually surprised that Nabu decided to go along with it, however I wonder how much the host affects the helmet other than abilities.
You know, bad luck magic is definitely one that is hard to define, so it would be fitting that that would crack Flaw enough to break him.
As for Beast Boy, I’m glad that someone else tried to help him. I feel that Gar might be one of those people who need to be forced into therapy and stuff like that. While he may grow to resent his friends and others who meddle in his life, it may be the only option for someone like him.
Eh that’s a comic thing in general…they haven’t forced Batman on everything yet, which is a plus.
I love JLU too, and admittedly that show did throw in a lot of characters that they never bothered to name and that only comic fans would recognize unless they got named on the show...but JLU was also generally more episodic than YJ, even if they had story arcs, so it felt more manageable.
I think Khalid was the only one who realized what Zee was actually doing. Dick's kept people in the dark but I don't think he was intentionally grooming/selling someone who he was training/taking care of for the sake of his own personal desires.
She played Nabu like a fiddle to get him to agree to it. It's the reason she was basically showing her protege's off.
I just don't understand why they only realized it now. It just felt too last minute/convenient.You know, bad luck magic is definitely one that is hard to define, so it would be fitting that that would crack Flaw enough to break him.
Perdita did a better job than his teammates or Blue Devil. I feel like we could have just had this Perdita sequence and cut out like, 2-3 of Gar's scenes in this arc.As for Beast Boy, I’m glad that someone else tried to help him. Yeah, but comics at least have the benefit of more material to show off the characters in their wider universe than is available to this show at the moment.Eh that’s a comic thing in general…they haven’t forced Batman on everything yet, which is a plus.
Eh, I wouldn't say it was more manageable, I feel we had the same problem with JLU as we got a lot of cameos and fodder.
This is true. I'm curious if any more magical people can be brought in to pass Nabu off on.I think Khalid was the only one who realized what Zee was actually doing. I like to think that once the Chaos Lords stopped backing her, Flaw became weaker...since they blasted him almost every episode to not do anything to him. However, it is rather dues ex machina in how she was defeated. That said, I'm not sure if she's completely gone as she could do the same thing as Klarion and find a new anchor...I just don't understand why they only realized it now. I agree. I was cool with M'Gann's depression as something different happened every time. While there are people who will complain if we didn't see Beast Boy buy pills (thus it would look like it came out of nowhere) I feel that we would have gotten the point across without literally watching him sleep a few times.Perdita did a better job than his teammates or Blue Devil. I feel like we could have just had this Perdita sequence and cut out like, 2-3 of Gar's scenes in this arc.

I guess that's fair.
I'm wondering if there's an option for backing out in case someone doesn't want to do it anymore. Traci is only 18, Khalid wants to be a doctor, do they really want to sacrifice one week of their lives every month? Will that really be manageable? This is true. I'm curious if any more magical people can be brought in to pass Nabu off on.
I mean, Zee got her dad back, but how long does Giovanni have left? Of course, this arc pretty much implies her entire life is defined by her father so I guess she doesn't mind playing Fate.
Now that they've established this, you have to wonder why Child didn't do it unless Klarion is "special" somehow.I like to think that once the Chaos Lords stopped backing her, Flaw became weaker...since they blasted him almost every episode to not do anything to him. Also, they made such a big deal of Fate and Klarion finally teaming-up only for it to...not actually matter.
I’m surprised Nabu went for this. Every time he releases a host to switch there is a chance they decide to just put him on a shelf until he’s needed. Guess they earned his trust
Sooo i'm worried about Mary that voice sounded so sinister chills went down my spine.
Also I knew it'd pay off to be a stubborn Conner fan, he's definitely not just a spirit whose not at rest.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above
Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
Fate sounds like a HUGE burden, if it were up to me I'd bury that helmet in a pocket dimension somewhere. No one deserves to "live" like that.

Fate would be less of a burden if Nabu let the host live a life and not be in hero mode 24/7.
I couldn't believe they kept cutting away from the big fight scene just to see Beast Boy doing really nothing of interest, but I have to say I do like how they ended it.
