This is a really interesting show. Kind of Dungeons and Dragons mixed with a mildly steampunk London by Gaslight.

Excellent series. I'm glad it was renewed before the first season dropped, so no unfinished cliffhangers!
I've just finished watching this, and I thought it was great. I thought both Bloom and Delevingne were surprisingly strong leads, really very good, as was everyone else. It all looked expensive, too.
I'm looking forward to the next series.
Enjoyed it a lot, though it's not technically steampunk, just Victorian-esque.
While Bloom and Delevingne are the leads, the story of Imogen and Agreus is much better, imo. I hope to see more of them next season.

Eh, I'd say it's mildly steampunk, what with the airships.
Ha this show was a slow burn but we'll worth it

I liked it better when From Hell didn't incorporate a Midsummer's Night's Dream and the killer's motivation wasn't the central protagonist.
I gave up after 1 episode. It gets better? Maybe I'll go back
I didn't find it slow, so I guess it depends on how interested you are in Bloom and Delevingne's characters - I really liked them straight off the bat, but for those like MyriVerse who prefer the pairing of Imogen and Agreus, you have to wait a while for things to build up speed.
The second and final season of Carnival Row starts on February 17th.
I hope this season ties things up nicely.
It is both nice and bittersweet to finally get the second season but knowing it is also the last.
Frankly, I had given up on it. I don't have time to rewatch S1, too many backlogged shows and current shows I'm watching, so I need a very solid "Previously On" segment when it returns.
I'm finally getting around to Turn: Washington's Spies, sad to not have found a thread about that around here. Two seasons into it and it is great!
