Lol, what a train wreck the Jets have become. Sam Darnold might get such bad PTSD from this whole experience, he could end up quitting football all together.

Its a lot like the Bears belief in Trubisky after he has a game where he isn't ****. They believe , OMG they have turned the corner. They are gonna be HUGE for us. Gase is a genius and making Darnold a superstar because he looked ok and won a game !

This comically sinks the franchise a season as the performances are so uneven its funny. In the Bears case its more comedy to watch it play out.

    Week 11 predictions

Steelers over Browns- Steelers win their fifth in a row
Texans over Ravens- the Texans had two weeks to prepare for this game, and the Ravens are due for a let down
Panthers over Falcons- Panthers win at home
Lions over Cowboys- Cowboys fall into a trap at Detroit
Jaguars over Colts- The Jaguars get their QB back, and the Colts have lost theirs
Bills over Dolphins- The Bills must win this game in order to be taken seriously as a contender
Vikings over Broncos- Vikings will dominate this game at home
Saints over Buccaneers- Saints should bounce back from last week's loss
Redskins over Jets- Redskins win their second game
49ers over Cardinals- the 49ers should win at home
Raiders over Bengals- Bengals will stay perfect
Eagles over Patriots- Eagles are at home and usually win after a bye
Rams over Bears- both teams are struggling, but the Rams are at home
Chiefs over Chargers- the Chiefs need this one to stay ahead of the Raiders

But that makes no sense. The league is past the whole thing now and its mostly forgotten in the media. Under what scenario does this help any of the teams or the league? Occam's razor suggests that its a real tryout.

IF it were a real tryout, wouldn't they have:

    a) informed Kapernick or his representation before (not after) they scheduled it

    b) scheduled it on a Tuesday when almost all workouts/tryouts are done in the NFL not on Saturday when coaches/scouts are travelling to games or moving in to team hotels for home games and prepping for said games

    c) honored his request to reschedule it one week later if it had to be on a Saturday to give more teams a chance to respond/prepare for the work out and have people there

    and...

    d) allowed Kap's camp to know who has notified the league they will be attending so they could have discussions with said teams instead of keeping it all a secret

if it is a real tryout it seems someone is trying very hard to make sure it is one that will not yield successful results and is doing everything in their power to limit the chances of it succeeding

my guess is that it was something that was mandated by the out of court settlement to end the lawsuit Kap, Reid, etc. had filed so the NFL has to do it, but doesn't want to, and both sides have an NDA preventing them from revealing that it was part of the settlement.

Yah that last part had been going through my head as well, that it was court-ordered but the terms were not to be disclosed under the agreement. That makes sense, too, and is also a simple explanation. Just a bizarre thing. Can you imagine how awkward this "workout" is going to be. That just can't end well for anyone.

By all rights the Bengals should be signing Kaepernick given what they have right now at QB. Dalton hasn't done jack **** in years , the backup QB isn't doing well. So after this workout if the Bengals pass then you know they are following the "fix". Them or the Bears could eye Kaepernick since the Bears have to decide if Trubisky is worth it this off season and then could be losing Chase Daniel who is considered the A+ backup QB in the league to have. (Daniel has made $30-40+ million being a key backup to come off bench).

It was hyped as game of the year and lived up to that with going to overtime, and all time in overtime used with the Seahawks winning because the Seahawks kicker made the field goal while the 49ers was unable to make the field goal when the 49ers most needed the field goal.
It was great seeing the 49ers lose their first game on MNF, and also same game that Garoppolo experienced the misery of losing for the first time for a 49ers home game on MNF.

The commentators must not understand the Seahawks a great team defeating a other great team the 49ers is not a freakin upset.

The biggest shocker of NFL week 10 is the Falcons a terrible team with a awful defense were great defeating the Saints 26-9 in New Orleans, and the Falcons looked like the 1985 Bears vs the great Saints in New Orleans.
The Saints a team with a great offense couldn't score 1 damn td vs a awful defense, also the first time that the Payton-Brees Saints were held to 9 points in New Orleans.

The league is not padt it in that the owners are still worried about a fan backlash if they put Kaep on the team. So they won't.

    NFL News

    - The Browns before tonights game announced they had released Antonio Callaway (WR) a 2nd year WR today. Callaway was a 5th rd pick in 2018 by John Dorsey and a reach ala Tyreek Hill was in 2017 due to off field behavior. Callaway however after a decent rookie season crashed to Earth as he served a 4 game suspension from NFL to start the season and was benched last game by Kitchens for an issue. Also Callaway is appealing a 10 game suspension as well which likely factored in here.

    - The NFL announced that the number of teams attending Kaepernick's tryout has now went to 11. The NFL has said that Joe Philbin and Hue Jackson will help with tryout and they plan to send the tape to all teams to watch.

Also the NFL has said more teams likely could announce attending the tryout as well to see what Kaepernick can do.
