Default Where in the D'AST is Garthan Saal?

He never made another appearance after this page. What the d'ast happened to him and that Sh'ar guy? Where is he hiding? What he's planning? Why no one at Marvel wants to solve the loose ends of Dan Abnett's Nova & GOTG run?

Do you think Garthan Saal will show up in Cates' GOTG?

I hate it when a plot thread gets completely forgotten. I guess Garthan was going to be a major villain in a storyline if Dan Abnett was kept on the Cosmic comics.

Hold on. I'm pretty sure this plot-thread was dropped LOOONG before the Bendis-comics became a thing... Yeah, I just checked - and Lanning + Abnett wrote a total of 11 issues more of Nova before the comic was cancelled. They also wrote a bunch of events in-between - War of Kings, Realm of Kings, as well as the Thanos Imperative. I'm pretty sure they were also writing Guardians of the Galaxy at the time.

Saying that this had something to do with Bendis upcoming era of the Cosmic comics seems rather disingenuine to me - rather, it's quite possible that they chose to drop this storyline in order to go with the Sphinx as a villain for their last story, or maybe the event-comics where more their flair, or perhaps they plum forgot about it, since they had 10,000 other storylines going, a lá Claremont in his hey-day.

I suppose a final finger can be pointed at Marvel, since they were probably the ones pushing for so many events towards the end of their runs.

Still... Marvel gave them the Annihilators series as well... while Bendis was doing his GotG thing, yet they still didn't address this plot-thread there...

Memory is hazy but I remember seeing a time line of events and one sounded like Saal would have made an appearance in it. Can't remember where I saw this list. It must have either been in GOTG or Nova. Gah! Memory is so bad!

Tried to Google it but didn't have any luck. It was like a timeline of things to happen in the future. And on the timeline there was something call The Nova xxxx. I can't remember what xxxx was now, but I do remember at the time not knowing what that word meant and googled it and it meant something like more than one or something loo Ike that. Sorry, not helping!

The Annihilators mini came before Bendis' dreadful GOTG run

God do I miss that Nova run. First 15-20 issues or so are crazy good.
And I hope Ewing or someone like takes over writing duties on Nova.
