A lot of people want her to be besties with folks she's already fairly tight with. A lot want to team Diana with other fantasy/martial arts characters. I'd go another way, give her a comparably powerful sci-fi type as a buddy. And one she doesn't have a lot of history with. Power Girl. Each one can offer the other something; it's not just Diana helping out some poor other hero. The contrasts between the characters offer a lot of story potential. Hell, you could do a Wonder Woman/Power Girl buddy title that could be very entertaining fairly easily, I should think. One that could swing from Skartaris one month to War World another.

This is part of why I suggested Carol Ferris. Any woman who's a JLA member has been teamed with WW at least once. Carol's probably been in more stories as an ENEMY of the JL.
