Seriously, who told King it's a good idea to have an issue in which Alfred assumably died and Damian was taken hostage followed by two issues of Bruce and Selina going on a romantic vacation/romantic training montage? I think Bruce has bigger problems than his relationship with Selina right now.

That's where you're all mistaken. Bruce isn't on vacation. Tom Selleck is.

IDK why this line made me think of Jon too. Hasn't been a kind year for the Super Sons.

Bruce taking a minute to regroup before running back to Gotham seems like a solid move. Don’t see the problem, especially since there’s no way he should know what happened to Alfred or Damian in his absence.

I haven't read much Superman since Bendis took over, but Bruce and Clark certainly aren't going to win father of the year awards anytime soon.

It's been a bad year for the bat kids. At least Bruce is yet to hit Damian and he luckily hasn't been shot but like a champion he's trying where's his dad gave up.

I hope we get more Damian jive talking Thomas [and hopefully Bane]. I always enjoy Damian's smack talk. Thomas also trying to connect to his grandson would be nice but please no naked wrestling.

Yeah but i think the key difference between them was Jor-El wasn't crazy on purpose like Thomas if I remember he was brainwashed and once free he tried to undo the damage. Thomas is genuinely crazy!

Yeah, pacing has been a real issue for this run. Maybe it'll read better in TPB, maybe it won't. I lean towards the latter.

Batman wouldn't be this bad of a father.
