Default Why is there only one Absorbing Man?

So in an age where it seems like any character who's origin even hints at mass production (Lizard, Dynamos, so many Caps and Wolverines), why is there only one Absorbing Man?

Loki gave him his powers, so why hasn't he created another? There it ever stated that there was some sort of limitation?

...Why can't there just be one Absorbing Man?

Right now we have to many "double" characters that in the end makes the original and the his/her concept look less than and/or cheap.

Currently Absorbing Man barely gets used as a villain enough as is to even justify another one...

I like having only one Absorbing Man...a unique spell perhaps.

But, if it makes you feel any better, Thunderball of the Wrecking Crew is an Absorbing Man lite version. Heavy on the lite.

It's the exact same ability, he touches a material, he can transform into it (he keeps vibranium piercings instead of a metal ball as an always ready material to change into). The difference is how he got his powers, which has to do with Wakanda and not Asgard.

Absorbing Man seems like a weird character to have any kind of legacy, but, as incredible as it sounds, he does. His son, Stonewall, has his exact same powers, and from what I remember, it was implied he got his powers from his dad. So whatever Loki gave Creel can technically be used to give similar powers to other people.

It's also possible that Loki created more beings with powers, but just different ones. He was the one who gave powers to Sylvie Lushton and made her Enchantress, for instance. Who knows how many other people out there he gave powers for... reasons.
