Yea, of course not. This thread is for platonic friendship.

I agree, in part. And I say this as someone who really dislikes how many write Namor and Sue's relationship. But Namor has saved Sue's marriage to Reed TWICE. Has there been any other friend that has done as much for her? Sue, however, isn't Namor's best friend.

Namor definitely respects her, but I'd say he respected his mother most.

Not like Namor??? Uhn, no. It's canon, more than once. Namor is Sue's secret desire / fantasy.

What Sue doesn't like is how she's still attracted to Namor, even if she is committed and loves Reed.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

i get more of a paternalistic/big brother vibe from that particular relationship. i don't think they are close. i don't think that Nick is close with anyone. Sam is a far better friend to Steve than Nick is, imo.

    She doesn’t have one.
I thought Sue and Crystal were pretty good friends? Crystal replaced her on the F4 for a good long time when Sue had the kids?

Seconding Carol Danvers and Jessica Drew.

I think an argument can be made for Bobbi Morse and Janet Van Dyne after Unstoppable Wasp.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

I'd add Ice Man to make it three best friends.

    Jubilee and Synch (deceased).
Blue Marvel and Anti-Man (presumably deceased).
Blue Marvel and Watcher (deceased in 616, but not in alternate realities where he continues to exist).
