I get that...i dont know if i could. Me and my girl have talked about it (how could you not if you have close friends) and it is a hard scary thing to think about...i am totally supportive of people who do it though.

Well all we know is two statements, right? One by Jean saying non-mutants can use a gateway when traveling with a mutant with permission.

The other statement is Magneto saying humans cannot go to the island at all.

There’s also two contexts that shape the dialogue. Jean is giving a tour to new mutant kids who are finding out more about the island, there is no grandiose posturing needed. Magneto didn’t explicitly say that humans can’t come. He’s talking to ambassadors about their island as they’re in the middle of trying to win sovereignty and that includes drawing boundaries of what those elected officials can and cannot see.
