But Wolverine is the best at what he does. The bet there is probably a misdirection

Eh, it's probably Kurt/Meggan (the one crackship from AoXM that will matter, lol) and Sinister's trolling the crap out of Kurt's ultimate nice guy act.

What if it's Bishop and Jean.

Not sure what Bishop is the best at. Character derailment?

Yet another round of Jeansus being the poow wittle victim. Been there, done that. There's no way Hickman would be that lazy/unimaginative, right?

... how does Bishop and Jean make Jean a victim any more than it being, well, anybody else and Jean?

It doesn't. That's why I didn't even bring up Bishop.

I'm confused what makes Jean a victim here.

Jean always perceives herself as the victim/magnanimous forgiver. Been kind of a running gag for decades, really.

Anyway. The original point was that Secret #5 most likely wasn't about a new iteration of the rectangle. There are characters who fit the "married with a kid" description a whole lot better than Jean. I mean, don't you think it would've been brought up when Scott congratulated Ben on his recent marriage?

I was under the impression that Jean and Scott got together on the lastest Uncanny run.
Haven't read it myself but saw someone posting them kissing.

I do hope Marvel doesn't keep adding them drama. They could use and need some good time before more drama

I don't think that's Jean. I think that's an element of her fanbase.

Jean fans have reasons to feel that way. More than a decade of neglection make some lose confidence on Marvel

yeah this pretty much. Marvel tried to erase Jean for a long time.
there is plenty of reasons to think about that.

I think it would be too obvious if it was the usual quadrangle suspects.

Not sure about the married part, and the with kid is not Jean or Scott

Yes, Everybody is like "Jean fans are complaining too much"
and I'm like "it is because Marvel's track record with Jean sucks"

They never erased her. She remained the Christ figure of the X-Men honored in countless stories including several Phoenix minis and with duplicate characters (Hope, Jeen). She remained prominent in merch, games and films. She has always been central to the mythos. She was just not starring in the books for a long time. Frankly she needed the break AFAIC and I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did. I get that people are happy to have her back and I don't think that's invalid. But acting like they were ignoring Jean or her legacy is not true. She's always loomed very large.
