Default TV Shows You NEVER Tire Of Watching

Last night, I watched the first two episodes of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the British TV series from the latter half of the 1980's starring the late, great Jeremy Brett as the legendary master detective. I wouldn't be exaggerating by saying I've probably watched this show (and the sequel series that followed) close to a dozen times over the years, first in syndication on A & E, then on DVD, and now streaming via Britbox, but, as god is my witness, it never, and I repeat, NEVER gets old, and still intrigues and fascinates and entertains me to pieces. So, is there a TV show you love and never tire of watching, even if you've seen it numerous times? Let's discuss those shows here!

Probably Miami Vice for me. Outside of the occasional Blu-Ray (and I only own about a dozen of those), it's the only group of physical DVD in the closest proximity to the TV. You can stream it on NBC Universal but there are commercials and for some reason the commercial breaks are really long, I wish it would go to HULU. I used to record the episodes on the last days of VHS when USA ran them in the mid-2000's during the day. I'm a HUGE Michael Mann fan and I rock with just about anything he's ever done but Vice was the only network show and it went 5 seasons so that's a LOT of Michael Mann cool. I put it on from time to time mostly for background but then too I got little ones it's not on as much as it would be. Yea, the last season was kind of wonky lol, I love how on the DVD boxes the only real change was their clothes from season to season, and the beard on Phillip Michael Thomas. It's to the point that I have intentionally not watched parts of the latter DVD episodes becasue I don't want to run out of new, old Miami Vice content if that makes any sense. The music alone is worth playing let alone all the early parts from Bruce Willis to Wesley Snipes to Esai Morales, and even that weird episode with James Brown. There have been better shows as far as episodic narratives go (Homicide, The Wire, Sopranos) but Vice never gets old to me.

Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

Friends is pretty high on my list. I can rewatch that show pretty much anytime and it's still fun.

I'd say the first couple seasons of West Wing, but the later ones I didn't even need to see more than once.

the first four seasons under Aaron Sorkin are some of the greatest television ever. I find value in the last three seasons, particularly the campaign in season 7, but I will skip several episodes in seasons 5 and 6.

Get Smart currently watching the series again. I have lost count of how many times. Other shows I have gotten into for awhile but have been watching this since TVland started showing it in the early 90s.
