Art Baltazar's new Superman comic might not appeal to you, but if you have kids or younger siblings it's a cute way to introduce them to Superman.
I bought it for my little sister and she loved it.

I'm working my way through it with one of my younger students and she's loving it (and so am I). It feels like a loving tribute to the old Silver Age Superboy stories and the Smallville TV show.
I don't know why it's called "Superman of Smallville" though, instead of "Superboy of Smallville", because it's most definitely a Superboy story. Is this more legal shenanigans over the rights to Superboy? I though all that was settled years ago.
I think the legal issues are settled (for now!) but it might just be a marketing thing. "Superman" sells more than "Superboy" and it's also possible that DC wanted to avoid confusion between Clark and Jon, now that Jon is starting to show up in these YA OGN's too.
"We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe."
