Have we ever seen him drawn in his original human form?

How much older than M was he supposed to be? New Mutant age? Iceman/Rogue/Colossus age? Storm/Cyclops/Angel? Banshee/Forge?

Did he have the same parents as M and the twins?

I know his powers are incredibly varied, but what was his original mutant power?

He has been shown in human form on a few occasions. The first time it happened was earlier issues of GenX where Monet (M-twins) imagines if he never became a monster.


He was also seen in Age of Apocalypse with the M-twins.


He & Monet do in fact have the same parents, he murdered their mother by feeding on her when his power manifested & was banished from the family.


He's basically a mutant vampire who needs to feed on the marrow of mutants to survive. He also is an leech-type like Rogue who can manifest the powers of mutants he feeds on. Not a mutant power, but he's also a skilled sorcerer & responsible for trapping Monet inside the body of Penance.

I don't think his age is now. We just know he's older than Monet, but not by how much.

Marius is that old rich guy in nightlife or the art world that is a gourmand of very eclectic, eccentric, delicacies and tastes. He's an exaggeration of that kind of Andy Warhol predator so obsessed with 'supping' on the talents of the new, the young, as to keep himself 'in the world' and relevant. Yes, he's supposed to look like he's wearing breathing apparatus but also its made to look like he's using it to smell his own farts. That's the kind of deviant beautiful emplate is meant to be read as.

I agree his name was supposed to SOUND like Template, but it’s weird they just wouldn’t go with THAT as his name.
