Question 10 issue gap in A Death in the Family

Hey everybody. I am currently reading the collected edition of a death in the family which includes a lonely place of dying. I am currently on issue 440, and I'm wondering why the collected Edition jumps from 429 straight 440, because now references are being made to things that happened in that 10 issue gap involving a previous escape from Arkham buy two face. Why did they choose to omit these issues and then reference them as part of the overall story? Thanks in advance for your replies.

because those two are connected, from where jason died to the introduction of tim drake. year three is in the middle which might be it's own collection. i do know you can check out batman the cape crusader vol 1 and 2 for the rest of the missing stories

I’m pretty sure those missing issues are collected in another trade.
