As others have pointed out, the narrative placement of this scene makes no sense. So glad I dropped this book again, garbage tier crap.

"So you've come to the end now alive but dead inside."
so they did have an encounter on the boat after they first met on the street
I like that Bruce calls Selina by her real name at least once
I am very looking forward to reading this issue and the rest of King's run
I want to see how it all plays out
I am highly convinced that there will not be a marriage.
I don't expect one.
I do hope that they stay together in some way.
Selina reforming and working with Bruce in his crusade against crime is possible.
She's done it before back
A thief is not all that she is.
She was even Protector of East End neighborhood before.
If there is Batman rogue that I can see reforming and becoming hero, it is Catwoman.

I created a thread about Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Koriand'r/Starfire. It is to acknowledge and honor their iconic and popular relationship.
I created a fan page about Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson. This page is for all the Spider-Marriage fans.
Ding! Ding!! Ding!!! You called it. This makes it SOO much worse!
This new knowledge means that while Bruce is wasting time here the events of 77 could have been prevented if only Selina had called up the Calvary, Informed any of the Bat family rather than take Bruce and hole up.
Bruce could have the moment he regained consciousness could have prevented what happened. Since he has some experience and some smarts. He knows what Bane and Thomas are intending to do. He knows Gotham, everyone he cares for, everyone who is currently wearing a bat symbol and that fights in his corner is at risk.
His own father just tried to kill him so he knew to expect the worst. His father has already attacked Alfred. He knew Alfred and his sons were at risk. Anyone residing at the manor was at risk and yet he wasted how many days messing around. He didn't even put in a call to someone anyone to go and get the people he is supposed to care about. The people he knew were in danger to safety/out of the city.
This revelation makes Bruce and Selina seem like Callous, uncaring, selfish idiots. These two are the worst. They both could have easily stopped the events of #77 They could have saved lives and prevented a 13yr old kid been forced to try and do something anything.
I hope after this is over that Bruce gets kicked out of the family and Gotham since he isn't really a hero just a rich dude who likes to punch things and doesn't really care. "No 8 year old will ever feel like this my arse"
Selina clearly doesn't give a **** about Gotham and the Batman's family. Heck the woman most likely doesn't have anyone's contact details since she's not family so I can excuse her lack of caring/ action. Also she isn't a hero so she technically doesn't have to do anything.
But Bruce. This is totally on you and i hope you realise that when you break out whatever spell you are currently under.
while I know Bruce can't be kicked out/over have his cowl forcibly taken because logic. I hope the family leave him. He doesn't care and they don't deserve this.

I don't think a marriage is on the cards. This reads like an In Memorium. king's whole run has been lot of reminiscing. Call backs to older better stories and moments from the 80 year of will they won't they [which coincidentally is coming up*]
These two aren't setting up for a future together. They are looking back after been tricked into proposing and acceptance.
If anything King's run reads like a nostalgic look back and a reason in why these two never settled down. Also like he's been tasked to make the idea as unappealing as possible. Trying to make fans sick of this pairing.
You know who else's 80th is coming up? Dick Grayson. While this shitty ship gets a book [announced in the recent solicit] Dick Grayson one DC's and comic's most iconic characters get's Ric'ed. Good show DC

I am with you on this 100 percent.
I don't blame the pairing. I blame the writer.
I don't blame any pairing nor character.
After all, they are fictional. They don't have free will.
Writers are the people that make them do things.
I don't take any of these characters seriously.
I do like certain pairings and characters a lot, and I'd prefer that they are written well and to my liking.
no writer can make me stop liking Bruce/Selina.
They are my 3rd favorite comic book pairing after Peter/Mary Jane and Dick/Kory.
There is nothing that King nor any other writer can do that would make me stop liking Bruce/Selina

I can't blame the writer since he isn't a character in this story. Bruce and Selina could have done something, anything to prevent this. They could have saved, Alfred. They could have prevented a 13 year old being forced to act because no one else would. They could have stopped Damian having to watch Alfred die. They could have done something to stop those two being endangered because of batman's mission and because they associated with him. [though par for the cause those two have only being killed twice now because Batman. I guess he thought they knew they risks so he wasn't bothered]
I can't blame the writer. Sure it's bad writing but that's their truth now. their canon so I have to Blame them.
The fact is that while Bruce and Selina were drinking cocktails, yoga posing and trying their hands at costumed mountain climbing Alfred was already a hostage and Damian was likely heading into Gotham to do what his father should have been doing. That's their story. So Yeah I can totally blame.
They could have done something/prevented it but we'll never know because they never even tried.

God..between this garbage, the fucking name Drake and Ric, it is not a good time to a fan of the bat-family.
Didn’t Bruce wake up from his coma in #77 in the apartment in Paris with Selina watching over him? How does #79 take place before that?
Unless it goes like this.
Bruce/Selina parts of 77
78-79
Damian parts of 77

I would not hate if the upcoming bat and cat series was just Bruce and Selina in the beach in sexy outfits reminiscing
I should not be surprised about that.. I saw the previous issue(bad decision) and now the batxcat fans are buying this again.. I saw internet mentioning a 2nd printing of batman 78..
Anyway. I will wait until the real actions return with Thomas Wayne and BANE.
