Since this is CBR, what about gayest comics? 1980-90's Katy Keene comics strike me as VERY camp, Katy's dresses are always "fabulous" and the cowboys and movie star hunks look like gay porn stars.

Also Lil' Abner looks like gay icon Jeff Stryker..

I was reading a review and someone mentioned how many homosexual tones are all over Interview With a Vampire has. After reading that review and watching the movie again, I could totally see it.

I have this nagging feeling that Seth was gay in Superbad, or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Norm MacDonald on SNL in his quick review said that Interview With The Vampire, "Wasn't gay enough." I remember a lot of horror fans complained the flick led to the wussifying of vampires in TV and cinema. Likewise with Buffy. Then Twilight came along. And Lestat and company started looking a heck more butch.

There's actually always been a question whether the gay themes in Nightmare on Elm Street 2 were intentional or not. I tend to believe they were wholly intentional. Just too many examples.

The scene where the kid runs into what seems to be a leather par in a panic, bumps into his jerk gym teacher who then kidnaps him to the school has to be intentional. That the lead actor was gay (and closeted?) in real life may have been a coincidence.

That's an explicit facet of the character, though. That's Lord Humoungu's sex slave. That's a whole matter matter from, say, Top Gun which technically isn't about gay anything: it's the story of a hetero military man who falls in love with a woman and has sex with her. There's just a lot of stuff in the presentation that seems to have homosexual undertones.

I always found it amusing in the 'old days' that Archie and Reggie would flip out over Veronica because she was wearing a new outfit (usually a Paris original). Did teen boys really care about outfits from Paris??? Truth is, even though Veronica and Betty were usually drawn almost identical, when you see the reaction Veronica got from boys, you just know she had a little more on top and a little more round back.

At some point (I think when Dani was sleeping on Grace's leg), I honestly thought the movie would've been bolder had they done that romance.

Then again, once you find out Grace's backstory, then it would get just a teensy bit creepier, especially with the power dynamic there.

...when we find out that Dani grows up to be Grace's mentor and leader. Having the two of them fall in love in the present would mean Grace secretly harbored feelings for someone who was her teacher as a youth. And, it would also play right into the tired cliche of having one partner in a gay relationship die

FOX seems to have pushed Dani & Grace into the closet with reshoots! There is footage of them on Tumblr where Grace breaks Dani out of her cell and a terrified Dani practically embraces her. This was replaced with Grace leading Dani (now wearing a hoodie) out of her cell. ( Boooo! )

Can't wait for more fan art/fanfics. They're up there with Xena/Gabriella, Harley and Ivy now....
