In the real world i would be BOTH pro registration and Pro mutant rights. Xavier and Trask were both right.

Xavier being his father makes sense and I could see that being another twist reveal

Maybe this has something do with X, from Astonishing X-Men?

It is odd though, that there is a note that they have never experimented with putting a MIND in a non-matching HUSK, but also this info talks as if this process has been in use for quite some time (years).

Especially when it specifically states: "There has been no experimentation regarding what happens when you combine a mutant mind with a husk that's not their own." Because it sounds like a husk rejects a mind if that mind isn't compatible with the husk's DNA. Unless, of course, they share DNA with someone else. Like say, one of their parents.

If so, that strongly implies that Kevin MacTaggert's biological father wasn't, in fact, Moira's husband. It's Charles Xavier. Which would also make sense in regards to Moira having married Xavier during her fourth life.

Really! So like all the mutants on Krakoa all the readers/posters must be some hive mind that agrees with everything? I'll pass on that thanks. Just because I'm an X-men fan does not mean I blindly accept or agree with everything they do. This cult like mentality that's going on is not for me. Wakanda, a nation of black africans did not accept the mutants offer, are they now racists or prejudiced against mutants? If mutants don't get whatever they want are they victims of bias and bigotry? This notion that all mutants are peaceful and loving and would never hurt a fly is false. Magneto announced himself to the world with an act of aggression, humans have every right to be apprehensive and weary of mutants and should make every effort to protect themselves.

You are entitled to think this is about mutant in general, absolutely, but it won’t be any less way off base.

Uppity and organized? I’d like you to take a good look at my signature before talking about the fear of what they could do.

It’s a good thing to see how you are trying to project real world issue onto something that as no equivalent in the real world. I already said to someone else not to do that, because it made no sense at all. Mutants are born with superpowers. IRL, people aren’t born with guns as extra-limbs on them. Your skin color doesn’t kill your neighboor. Your faith doesn’t kill your neighboor. Your sexual orientation doesn’t kill your neighboor. I’ll just leave it at that, the difference should be plain enough for anyone to grasp it. You won’t caught me talking about the US and their gun laws either, suffice it to say that you are hilariously off-base with your whole “oh, you think that way about A.I.? So you must cling to the absurd argument that nothing about U.S gun laws/regulation should be changed and that instead we should just have MORE guns in the hand of “good guys”.
That’s what putting words in someone else’s mouth is, and that’s not a good look from here. As to answer your question, the same way you recruit law enforcement officers in high calibre jobs. I won’t debate about how the US do their recruiting, and what their policy about weapon usage is, but there are countries who happen to have good, wholesome, fair and completely unbiased humans as law enforcers. Now, I’m not like some around here who pretend that everything is perfect, it’s not. But accountability and law should prevail whenever someone get out of line, especially when said someone is supposed to enforce the rule of law.

Again with the putting words into someone else’s mouth? Especially someone you know NOTHING about? Making a lot of assumption I see. I’ll just repeat what I just said “accountability and law should prevail whenever someone get out of line, especially when said someone is supposed to enforce the rule of law. This is not a political thread but, the US are certainly not on the top of the chart when it comes to “rule of law” and “accountability” so the next step should be about how those two can be enforced in the SYSTEM as you put it, rather than disparaging the *absurd* notion that yes, indeed, not everyone deserve to be thrown under the bus for the shortcoming of some among them. The fact that you go out of your way to make parallels like the ones you made AND proceeded to then put words into my mouth TWICE is Trumpian in itself IMHO. Polaris and others like Magneto can have an history explaining the reason why they see the world the way they do, it doesn’t change the nature of those words. It doesn’t change the nature of the acts committed in the name of genetic supremacy. It doesn’t change the fact that you find entitled supremacists in both branches of humanity in that comic book series. Yes, even among mutants.

See, that’s actually the one parallel you made that actually made sense to me, but you had to go out of your way at the end to basically accuse me of being an homophobic. After having said I reminded you of Trumpian mentality earlier. And being a gun apologist before that. It’s a funny picture that you seem to have drawn in your head when again, you literally know nothing about me, my life, my experiences, nothing. You just know where I live, that’s it.
That’s the third time you’ve made assumptions about me, I’m not particularly impressed tbh. Still, I get what you are saying and yes, there is certainly merits to watch that scene from such perspective. It doesn’t negate the religious undertone/imagery throughout though IMO. Moving on.
Clearly you are the person who painted "MUTIE" on the Dazzler poster back in the 80s. =)

But Proteus natural power is possessing, he is just using Xavier husks.
It's not like the resurrection process that Xavier uses Cerebra to put the mutant mind on it.

Probably because it would be dangerous to create a duplicate of Moira given the nature of her powers, and because Kevin Mactaggart is long dead and not a mutant, so no record of him in Cerebro.

Everything in the issue says his power is reality warping. Even on the page that describes the whole process. It also says his powers cause the destruction of his body but i guess he could just be possessing new bodies. But it's proably easier to just transfer his conscious before the body dies which is probably what he does anyway. So they probably just skip the last part.

Forgive me for repeating myself, but again: for anyone who enjoys the philosophical conundrum of whether these "resurrected" mutants are clones, the originals brought back, or sometimes else, I CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH the graphic novel Last Days of an Immortal.

It's totally fascinating. I hope you choose to read it.

With all of their knowledge of Past lives i would think if his DNA was going to be important it couldn't have been that hard for moira to get a few samples. Also going by the notion of past lives and Moira keeps circling back to charles it's not unbelievable she could have been having an affair with him or married Joseph for other reasons.

Yeah I somehow read that as making new Proteus 'clones' and not noticing it was just Proteus jumping bodies.

Still wondering if it might have to do with Astonishing X-Men and X, since it just says that Charles Xavier DNA is the base, but I stopped reading before that arc.

But it’s all being done very, very deliberately, will be interesting to see where they go with it.
The controversial issue with Husk and Angel having sky sex specifically said Husk was 19. Still doesn’t make it right...

Woman. And no, I wouldn't. I'm just not pretending superhumans aren't dangerous to people around them depending on the circumstances, and that includes mutants. You can pretend otherwise if you want.
There is this scene in Logan where we learn that Xavier lost control of his power because of illness and killed a bunch of people including his former students as a result. That kind of incidents and other things like rogue mutants abusing their powers on other people is exactly the reason why I stand by what I said earlier. Sue me. Or make scathing remarks if you feel like it, I'm not exactly trying to win a popularity contest with crowd-pleasing opinions like mutants should roll over sapiens and the likes. No thanks.

Folks gotta chill with the divisive talk defining, labeling and quantifying posters and their respective apprehension or lack thereof for this YET TO BE FINISHED NARRATIVE.

    Rewind. Be KIND.
