And the leaked New Mutants #3 solicit mentions that there is going to be a youth group performing outreach to other mutants who choose not to live on Krakoa
My fears have been out to rest.

Except for that youth outreach thing. That can't go well.

But I'll give you the Emma part, just re-read it and it starts ambiguous but then he offers her a gift and she accepts.

And I do think we'll see some mutants have issues with all of this. I don't think everyone is going to easily fall in line once the reality of everything settles. Especially with the villains hanging around.
It read like she forced the russian ambassador to abstain which is forcing but she didn't make them choose them outright. But i would argue thats no different than countries using bots or threats to force someone not to vote. Or people abstaining from votes on gun laws when its the right thing to do but the NRA is on their backs. Not right but for a mutant nation not a big deal. But it's usually the case where the "other" is the one forced to be above reproach to deal with the already existing world cult led by the 1%.

Readers also have to wonder if the resurrection has left Wolverine with bone claws again. Adamantium is not a biological component, and it probably isn't easily recreated. There’s also the question of what happened to the X-Men’s bodies from their suicide mission. Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Wolverine’s bodies were lost to space. But there’s a chance their enemies have the rest of the bodies. What might they do with that genetic material?

Lol dude I had to re read it as well to confirm. I’m spending way too much time on this series. HOX and POX is life at this point lol.

The open invitation from Xavier just screams of desperation. I guess Moira wasn’t kidding when she said “break all the rules”. There has to be something more to this though. Unless Xavier plans to mindcontrol some of them 24/7 there’s no way these villains realistically fall in line. This is a terrible idea but at this stage with so many attempts through Moira failing over and over....I guess you’re pretty much out of options.

Maybe because most of the supposed bad stuff is readers making it up or projecting? So far, this is no different than the school, really. The one that welcomed Rogue, Wolverine, Magneto, Quire, Glob, Jean, etc. etc, etc. They’ve done nothing but created a place for Mutants to gather.

Maybe not running free but Xavier didn’t seem to have much of an issue using him to get what he wanted either.
So... on one end of spectrum there is mind control and then there is influence. After reading her exchange with Xavier I believe she used her powers in a way that influenced them. Perhaps confronted them with their worst secrets or thoughts until they changed their minds. Sounds a bit like torture but that is much different than taking someone over and operating them like a puppet.

Any mutants that don't go though could really be facing even more scrutiny. The governments likely would be even less friendly.

Seems like a threat to me and Magneto, as he always has, threatened back.
So you're saying in the face of white human supremacy the mutants decided to push back with their own brand of white mutant supremacy? Who knew that? And in what way does Magneto's threat on behalf of all mutant kind promote a sense of cooperation with within the human community? I'm still not sure what you're trying to say?

Or more friendly. I would start my own outreach program. What better way to gain your own mutant weapons and than to start a support program to get ahead of it. Nations need to start realizing the resource they are letting get away. This may do it now that they have choice. Much like today's society realizes the need for diversity.

What about the cosmic side of things? I imagine certain god(esses) (of death) will have an opinion about not receiving mutant souls. They might also have an opinion about losing souls they've had as Xavier plucks them out of the afterlife. (The language has been about backing-up essences of people like data, but we also know in the MU that there are souls and afterlives, so how might that figure into things?) Hela is quite familiar with the X-Men, and a Krakoan has served as a Valkyrie, so that call's probably coming.

    I don't know. I mind reels.
Was just thinking about this actually - if they’re confirming the soul is “pulled” into the body when uploaded, what happens when a duplicate is made? Is the soul being duplicated or is the new version soulless?

Ooooh...what happens if some of the people cloned already don’t have souls because the “real” versions are hidden somewhere?

The X-Force mention is in the Resurrection Protocols section. Basically they realize an organization needs to be set up to find mutants who go missing (because they need confirmation so they can "rebirth" them), mutant homicides and mutant hate crimes.

And that's the whole thing. Moira has seen that every life leads to the mutants' destruction so yeah, it's time for something over the top for their survival. Hang in there, three more to go!

I'm so happy to see such conversations happening about the X-Books again. This is truly groundbreaking stuff and it will indeed have an impact on the entire MU. So good.

I mean, Xavier’s exact words are “dominating the will of another”. I guess you can take that however you want. Regardless Emma used her powers to influence humans on something. Xavier knew and was grateful. Was it Morally flat out wrong, or in that gray area, or justifiable and understandable considering the circumstances? You can take any side and have a leg to stand on regarding this issue.

Also notice the russian ambassador face she was pissed which is more in line with being influenced rather than controlled.
