It’s not a kill squad per se. More of a mutant CIA, investigating mutant disappearances and threats to mutants.
This is the Dawn of X book I am most excited about. Great premise, great cast, and great looking artwork.
I'm also interested, but I suspect a lot of folks reared up on the 2000s grimdark emo X-Force brand will rebel against this. Oh well.
Interview with Ben Percy:

Some interesting points he brought up:
- Kid Omega rubs off everyone in the wrong way and creates great drama lol.
- Not everyone is in every issue. Sometimes it's gonna be, say, Domino, sometimes it's more investigative work, sometimes wetwork.
- It's a procedural, with a "Michael Mann-like sensibility".
- He got called in for it by Hickman in October last year, and in January there was a summit with all the new writers where they figured out rosters and etc.
- Something is gonna happen at the end of X-Force #1 that will ripple across all X-Titles.
- Even with all the countries supporting Krakoa, there are still shadow agencies and subsets of the government that are working against it behind the scenes.

Lol sorry I don't know why I wrote Omega Red, guess I'm not used to remembering "Kid Omega".
While I don't have faves whom I will follow anytime-anywhere...I do have one "hate" whom I will never read no matter the writer, the artist, the team...and that's Quentin Quire. He served his grand urpose under Morrison but that was the the moment when I grew to absolutely and vehemently loathe him.
That said, I love the premise of this iteration of X-Force, and the art looks great ...alas!
Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
I think Quire is fun, I'm waiting to see him interact with Jean.
