Default What had become of magic/sorcery and mythology by the timeframe of LSH?

The future of the DC Universe in the time frame of the Legion of Superheroes' era (e.g. the 30th/31st Century) seems to be devoid of magic/sorcery and mythology. The lineage of science-based superheroes of the 20th/21st Century such as Superman and Flash are evident, but nothing of sorcery or mythology-based characters such as Wonder Woman, Shazam, or Zatanna. What happened to sorcery and mythology in the 30th Century? Did an increasingly science and technology-oriented future simply forget that mystical forces existed?

They've had a planet known as Sorcerer's World where (in one version, anyway) all of Earth's mages relocated to. It debuted in the late '60s I think.

Whether its around now is up to Bendis, but there appears to be a version of Dr. Fate on the team now.

Magic was there in that time. But with the Bendissing of the Legion, who knows anymore?

There was a LSH member named Thunder who was the future Shazam

Most other magic was usually represented by Mordru, the White Witch or Sorcerer's world. And there was the "Magic Wars" storyline that addressed magic in the 30th century.

Paul Levitz's last storyline in Legion in 1989 dealt with the 4-part Magic Wars. But to tell you the truth, I don't remember much about it other than Magnetic Lad sacrificed his life to save the universe.

But Mordru had gained at least some of his powers back in the 5-years-later Legion. And I remember Mysa having a dream about magic and when she woke up she realized she could still feel it.

Oh, there was also Dragonmage - he was a magic user.
