Default What would you like for a new team-up series?

Marvel has done team-up series where the premise is seeing heroes play off each other. The most famous of course being Marvel Team-Up, starring Spider-Man. Others include the Two-in-One (starring the Thing), Deadpool Team-Up (starring Deadpool of course), Superior Spider-Man Team-Up (starring the Superior Octopus), A+X (an Avenger and X-Men teaming up), and the recent iteration starring Kamala.

So what are your ideas for a new team-up series?

Personally, I like the idea of Hawkeye headlining a team-up series. That idea is that him, a superhero who's tough but still has no powers, has to work with a wide variety of different people who often do have superpowers. It's about him playing off the various characters, which can range anywhere from his Avengers teammates, other superheroes, and even X-Men. I feel like the combination of no powers + snarky attitude would make him a good candidate for a series like this. In each story, he shows that he doesn't need powers to be awesome, contributing just as much as his superpowered teammates, while trading tit for tat in the snark department.

    What about you?

Maybe have team-ups where either heroes on a team or various loners work to solve known open plots or behind-the-scenes plots that impacted story lines.

They sort of did the Hawkeye book already with Solo Avengers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solo_Avengers

Didn't sell very well then but I'd be up for another attempt!

    Always thought MTIO(Marvel Two-In-One) was superior to MTU(Marvel Team-up)!

Rare team-ups, that what I'd want to see.

Something we're not used to see or something we didn't see for a very long time. Definitely no Spidey/Daredevil or Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel

Each story would feature a different popular character (for the sales) teaming up with a C to Z lister.

    For instance:
    Spider-Man and Komodo
    Superior Spider-Man and Mach X
    Iron Man and Toni Ho
    The Thing and Rockslide

Another option (but probably cancelled after 5 issues) would be team ups between past or future versions of a Sorcerer Supreme, an Iron Fist, a Black Knight, etc.

Like 19th century Guillotine and Ghost Rider
BC 2000 Sorcerer Supreme and White Tiger
20XX Iron Fist and Black Panther

20XX? Like where Dani Cage as Captain America came from?

I’d bring back either Team-up or Two-In-One as an ongoing.

It would feature an A-lister teaming up with lesser knows or B to Z list characters.

    Examples would be:

    Mr. Fantastic and Vox (Initiative)

    Spider-Woman and Vincente

    Thor and Earth Force

what about a team-up series with a hero teaming up with a villain each issue. Like maybe each issue a hero and a villain are forced to work together

I sort of liked the Secret Defenders concept back in the day.

Dr. Strange picking a group of heroes to deal with whatever problem. It's a sort of cool way to bring together heroes you don't necessarily see working together. You can have a nice mix of established guys (ie Spider-Man or Wolverine) regularly in there to give the book a fighting chance in terms of sales, while potentially giving spotlight to lesser used characters who need a home.

Maybe in addition to Strange have a SMALL core group so you have have some on-going plots... maybe Hellcat and Nighthawk as a nice nod to the old school Defenders. But have the rest a rotating cast of new characters.

Lovely idea. Can't wait for the eventual team-up between Hawkeye & Daredevil.

Agreed, a very enjoyable series. Not only did they have a rotating cast, but they also came up with the idea to rotate the leader who selects the team (Thanos' all-villains team being the most memorable).

Sounds better than what Druid had going towards the end of the series.

I think that is an EXCELLENT idea.
If anyone can carry on the tradition of Spidey and Ben Grimm, it’s Clint.

There's been some mention of Marvel Two-In-One coming back (even after its last return) as an FF team-up series where Ben and other individual FF members would team with other heroes. Thing one issue, Sue the next, and a good mix.

I would an enjoy an Avengers team-up series like Avengers Assemble earlier this decade. It would do arcs that would take 1 to 3 issues long. Focusing on different active Avengers, not necessarily the ones in the main team, just people who are actively being heroes. Mixing up the crew every arc. It was really fun.
