Comic Mask never really got that crazy to be honest. Walter remained a consistent threat and problem for the Mask who, in various incarnations, failed to kill him.

Ipkiss actually has the lowest level feats because he was the first.

Plastic Man alone beats him with embarrassing ease.

Cartoon Mask would be a different matter as he had way more high end feats including resistance to transmutation if I recall right.

Movie Ipkiss' giant horn gag should probably take out anyone who isn't extremely resistant to sonic attacks, for what it's worth.

Err comic Mask had cis or pus with Walter. Also Stanley was not killed by him but his girl when mask was off.

And they all can cartoon rig lethal weapons from out of nowhere.

No one said that Ipkiss died with the mask on.

Also, while the Mask would have been capable of killing Walter if he'd really tried - he's got destructive feats even with Ipkiss that suggest it would have been possible for him to do - a consistent thing is that the Mask is less durable and quick to respond when taken by surprise. Masks have consistently been surprised by how tough and how strong Walter is so their powers are less effective. There's elements of PIS to it but the Comic Mask clearly has a consistent problem with him.

Like, in the first story arc there's a great example of the difference. Ipkiss gets blindsided by a bunch of cops with guns and takes a ton of damage and is blasted off the roof. Kellaway, in the same arc, is put in the same situation but was expecting it and he doesn't even bleed.

When Kathy is fighting Walter when he initially blindsides her with a double barreled shotgun and puts her down for about 20 - 30 seconds before she's like "Oh yeah, I can't die," the fight intensifies and she even notes in her internal monologue that she's getting up faster and doing crazier **** because the Mask is into it now.

Also this is besides the point because Plastic Man is wildly beyond anything Comic Mask has ever encountered. Even in the wacky crossover stuff.

Yeah, Plastic Man is an underrated absolute beast.
    Why are we here?

He could try to wrap him up and smother him. The Mask still needs to breathe in the comics, right?

    Not really.

Mask has had his head removed, had his entire torso and lungs blasted out with shotguns and kept on trucking just fine.

Regardless of anything else, the Mask is hard to put down permanently.
