The island is 263 sq miles and the map says "total" is 316 sq miles, so I'm assuming that means including the habitats around the world. Originally Posted by FIGHT

They plan to house the entire population of Genosha there, so it needs to be large. However, based on the consumption of seabed, Krakoa is likely to grow as necessary. And there are also small habitats scattered throughout the world and space.
