From the potato sack to the hockey mask, Jason's killing spree begins. I don't know if the official title for the second one is "II" or "2", I've seen it both ways. Part 3 was released with the 3-D gimmick. I don't know how 3-D looked in theaters in the early 80s but I can only imagine it wasn't very good. The movie has a lot of scenes with objects pushed directly toward the camera, so you can tell it was made with that in mind even without the effect.

27c. Deep Red (1975)


Not my first Italian horror movie, but my first Argento one, which I understand to be the creme de la creme. And while I liked it...I don't think I'm ever gonna be a full-blown giallo fan. Great visuals and awesome kills, but spread too far out between a nonsensical murder mystery.

These two movies have been on my Amazon Prime watchlist for like a year, so I figured I'd make it a theme afternoon and finally get rid of both of them.

Bad Moon was okay. Really a pretty good-looking werewolf for a movie I don't even remember ever hearing about growing up. And I liked the concept of the family dog as the hero. "Final"? Ha! It's really part IV. Jason wipes out so many people here that there has to be neighboring family of potential victims brought in. Movies 2-4 have all taken place within the span of a few days, Jason must have killed 30 people already, with spear gun, with knives, axes, and bare hands. I guess he still counts as "alive" in this movie, as despite waking up in the morgue he's still able to run, grunt, and act as if he feels some pain.




TV movies that lead to the Kolchack TV series. I've never seen any of it, though I've heard of it before. I remember it was cited a big influence on The X-Files.
The first one is a vampire killer in Las Vegas, the second is another type of killer in Seattle. They're structured very similarly, the first one is better even if there's more likeable characters in the second.




Another loose Poe adaptation produced by Roger Coreman and starring Vincent Price. Not the best such film, but not bad. I quite like look of it.

This is from the creator of Basket Case, and it's tough to say which of the two are weirder. A man encounters an alien parasite that looks like a goofy Muppet and is voiced by horror-host Zacherly, and the parasite keeps him high by secreting hallucinogens in exchange for the guy helping him eat people's brains. An amusing watch.

Cute classic. I hadn't seen it in so long I forgot most of it.

Day 28: The Wolfman (2010)

I know I've seen both the theatrical and directors cut versions of that movie, but I can't remember the difference between them.

Anyway I kind of like it. It's pretty rare to see a Werewolf movie with good actors and a serious budget for FX. But I kind of wish that Johnston had put his own spin on the material like how Copolla and Brannaugh did with their Dracula and Frankenstein remakes.

I wanted to explain why I Watched and Included Both the Original and The Producer's Cut in my count;

The Talk about What I heard of The Producer's Cut of Halloween 6 was Far More Truer then I thought. Honestly I would not seen or include a 2nd Viewing of a the Same Movie During the challenge just cause of it has a Director's or Extended Cut, I wound choose only one or the other for the challenge, cause they usually just add on more extra.

But the Legacy of the Differences between the Original Halloween 6 and the Producer's Cut are So Profound it might as well have been 2 completely different movies with only 50-60% sharing same scenes and similarities.

Heck the 3rd act alone is nearly All, Nearly 100% then was we got in the Original and the Producer's is SO Much better in comparison!

This is Why I Included it in My Count cause it is such they are such different movies, such differences between 2 cuts I have never seen this profound before or at least in so Long.

I just wanted to explain why, so I hope this helps.
