kjn gets my vote this week. I totally remember laughing when I saw that cover on the shelves.

The covers for this week brought back many memories of my cartoon-watching days (which may or may not actually be over). Narrowing down the choices was not easy. Honorable mentions go out to Kirby101, Tami, and worstblogever.

Squiirrelman. Cause I haven't thought of that show in years.

And thanks Moon Ronin for the vote, I suspect Disney + will have it.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Conrats kjn! I thought I saw a puddy cat.

And thanks to MRP and ChadH for the votes. There is a back story to that Johnny Quest cover. Doug Wildey, the creator of JQ was a mentor to Dave Stevens and served as the model for the Peavy character in The Rocketeer.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Wow! My first win ever! Thanks to Speed Force League Unlimited, Scott Taylor, Javasaurus, and tbaron for their votes, Tami and CaptCleghorn for the mentions, and ChadH for being a great sport!

The next contest will be up momentarily.
