Forgotten plot point - sentient Cerebro and Cerebro's X-Men Team

Considering Cerebro's recently rather attached to Charles head and the background information we are gettin. This seems very relevant though I haven't seen it brought up yet.

Cerebro gained sentience and wanted to catalogue every mutant on Earth. Wait doesn't this sound very familiar? That seems to be what we are being told Xavier pushed for it to do back then minus the whole being alive thing.

It ended with Charles purging the systems and robotic body being destroyed but after that?

I'm still a bit miffed it was the last we saw of Cerebro's X-Men team. I still think they had really cool designs and would have been interesting to pop back up. I especially liked Crux.

Some of them had interesting designs and I wouldnt have minded them returning. They seem like obvious choices given the concept of chimera introduced in PoX

Cerebro's X-Men Team should stay deleted.

They were kind of mixtures of X-men, Rapture had the powers of Angel and Nightcrawler, Crux was Iceman and Sunfire and so on.
They got "cancelled'' or "deleted", I remember. About half of them were cool; Xaos, Mercury and Rapture. The rest was lame.
As they simple ceased to exit, there is no way to bring them back with a good reason/ story behind it.
