I was really disappointed they cut her out of Ragnarok, but with the way they handled Planet Hulk there was probably no way to really fit her in and do her justice...
I guess Valkyrie kind of served her role in some regards.

Caiera Oldstrong was a great concept. Putting it in the context of Peter Parker and Mary Jane, Caiera was really needed by Bruce Banner, but moreso, by the Hulk. The idea that the dysfunctional Hulk could find a partner and make a family including his Warbound, was a very supportive one. I’m not sure if the Hulk is looked at as the psychosis of Bruce Banner, or, as a separate being, but if psychosis, then I can see why they couldn’t support Caiera in the series, and why they fridges her so quickly.
It gives the Banner/Hulk dynamic a harsh, unreconcilable, element to it, if Caiera is seen as a person who is attracted to dysfunctionality.
