Isn't it both? He's the Superman Returns character (who was supposed to be the same as the Christopher Reeve one) who has gone through a live action version of Kingdom Come. That just happens to leave him a widower, because Lois has died as per Kingdom Come, so they don't have to explain why Kate Bosworth isn't there.

    What do you guys think?
I hope he's a continuation of Superman Returns. And well written without the need to humiliate him to make others look better... So fkin tired of that.

I didn't think we would get to see him as Clark Kent. Nice .

His Clark is giving me some Earth-2 vibes, especially with the EIC job.

So does Routh Superman visibly age at the rate that regular people do? I always wondered about KC Superman (and any Superman said to age slowly) if he'd have to do some fancy explaining why Clark Kent looks 50 when all his contemporaries look 80.

Wow, Brandon just rolled back the years. His Clark looks really great. The EIC is nice.

Ha! I always figured Lois would be EiC but if she’s dead I could see Clark stepping up.

Clark took over as EIC on Earth 2. Which I still think is where they are going with Routh, not KC (beyond the suit).

I wonder if the set will be similar to Superman Returns

It’s kinda too bad Tulloch is Earth 38 Lois. Could have used her resemblance to Margot Kidder for Routh’s earth.

Am I alone in thinking that not since Reeve has an actor fit the part of both superman and Clark so well?

I'd say the best since Reeve yes, but its still a hefty drop-off from Reeve to the next guy down. That's not an insult to Routh its just that Reeve did that good a job and I've never seen it close to emulated. Routh's Clark was the next best thing but its still an incredibly far second. The bar is monumentally high for someone to get close to capturing the alter-egos the way Reeve was able to.

To be honest, I think Routh's Clark looks better in that image then he did in Returns.

Am I the only one here that thinks since Warner's has pretty much given up on the Snyder DCEU and Henry Cavill is done that they should just do a stand alone Superman Returns sequel with Brandon as this older Supes? Basically Earth 2 Superman. You wouldn't have to have Lois (because she's probably gone) or Lex (for obvious reasons),you wouldn't really even have to directly reference Jason White. Just Brandon's Superman taking on,say, Brainiac for a stand alone adventure. If DC films can do stand alone stuff like Joker, why not give this guy a decent stand alone?

When it comes to comics, one person's "fan-service" is another persons personal cannon. So by definition it's ALL fan service. Aren't we ALL fans?
SUPERMAN is the greatest fictional character ever created.
