What would you want from a Dawn of X relaunch of X-Factor?

I'd want the GenX cast for the team. It puts them back together, but would give them as specific function as a team. It'd be nice to see them all reunited as adults with new relationships, developments, how dynamics changed, etc.

I'd have tho mull over a writer. I think Brisson & Duggan could do well, but they already have Wave I stuff. Ahmed or Vita Ayala for the diversity of the cast which they may do well expanding on.

Not a redux of Maddox Investigations. I like that X-factor revamped itself each volume with a new high concept.

So I'd want the "Unexpected" whatever they decide that may be.

My idea would be for a team to form who were all recently back from the dead. They would be helping each other look into the mysteries or tragedies behind their deaths. Who was really to blame, who missed them the most when they were gone? How many alternate versions of them have their friends met? Some characters would want revenge, others to change who they are altogether after getting a 2nd chance. Along the way a greater mystery/story would unravel about the consequences of returning involving the Resurrection squad and Krakoa.

Sinister, Forge, and their overseeing of the genetic and psychic data.

Havok and Polaris might be involved to keep Sinister on the up and up given their histories with him?

Sage and Cipher make sense. Think you can build out the team from there. Madrox has experience with genetics, working on Muir, too.

I guess some overlap with X-Force concept, but could bring in plenty of other characters without a home... Siryn, Monet, some new X-Men kids, Prodigy makes sense.

You actually overlapped a team member... Sage is part of the new X-Force.

Yes! Id have Feral in the cast too, furious with Sabretooth. Perhaps Skin since he was murdered on a cross, others were revived but not him. Why? Guido too, but perhaps with a suicide like persona, why be afraid to die? Hes died plenty of times. But his daredevil plays would prove dangerous. Finally, Loa. Perhaps more scared of life but desperatly trying to stay brave.

I like Madrox and I love a great deal of PAD's work, but I feel like any new X-Factor revamp needs a new voice and take on the 'detectives' thing without the Madrox waifu harem **** PAD's run totally devolved into, IMO.

Thus, maybe something like the "X-Factor Investigations: Krakoa" island detectives/globetrotters pitch, with a roster similar to many others' choices:

- Nightcrawler
- Penance (Monet St. Croix)
- Prodigy
- Strong Guy
- Skin
- Skids (finally a chance to try to make her interesting)
- Morph/Benjamin Deeds
- Amanda Sefton/Daytripper (on Krakoa via special dispensation from Kurt and her connection to the Soulsword/Limbo and likely therefore Krakoa, though the mutant leadership knows she is a potentially dangerous human outsider and doesn't let her forget it)

Feral is an interesting choice, but despite a few redemptions I've never been able to shake my impression of her as a one-note psychopath.

That's pretty cool too. I'd also throw in my personal choice Longshot. You could have him form a unique dynamic with Daytripper as being the clear outsiders on the team (both of them not being mutants). I can totally see something like that working. I'm sure there would be a lot of crime to investigate, even in paradise.

She was abused/molested and driven crazy by the Legacy Virus. Once she was cured she was mentally better. Her appearances in Morrisons New XMen and Wolverine (when she died) showed her recoverex from her traumas as a hero.

Although, i prefer her being a fun psychopath.

The official diplomatic arm of the Krakoan government. Diplomat, attaches, and a security team. Diplomatic immunity. We'd get missions around the world (occasionally offworld too), and the security team would also complete rescues, extractions, etc. Various opportunities could arise for mission specialists. Attaches would help on missions as needed. We could have various unused mutants appear as security. They'd occasionally move into the spotlight temporarily.

A Polaris-lead book also starring Quicksilver, Frenzy, Forge and Danger.
About a reconstructed Genosha becoming a Krakoan embassy to the outside world.
It would work as a constant reminder of humankind's past failures and mutantkind's might and willingness to correct past wrongs.
I'd make Genosha one of the points where humans, mutants, AIs etc could actually coexist.
