I think you saw a hint of it in the scene at the club where Canary hits the high note and all the cocktail glasses are shaking.

But yeah, I can't tell who anybody is in this other than Harley. Kept looking for Black Mask but I didn't see him, lol.

Birds of Prey has a storied history and a devoted following, and many good stories and elements they could use, but it takes a complete backseat just to give Harley Quinn a supporting cast to bounce off of. It's one that she isn't even a founding member in the comics, or really, a member, which sounds bad enough, but it's another when they're not even the focus at all. Then we have the title Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), which is totally ridiculous.

All the posters we've seen are entirely about Harley. Only one poster has the other cast members in it, and they're just little bits with Harley still the focus of the shot (you know the one). Some people have defended this, by saying Margot Robbie is enthusiastic about it and helped get the movie made as a producer, as if it's justified. For those who think it's alright, consider the hypothetical scenario below:

The X-Men franchise is joining the MCU. Now, imagine they announce a New Mutants movie reboot, starring the classic cast fans know and love like Magik, Sunspot, Cannonball, Mirage, Wolfsbane, Magma, Cypher, and Warlock. Oh, but they decide that the New Mutants themselves aren't enough to hold the movie, so you know what they do?

    They throw in Deadpool.

And all the marketing and focus is solely on Deadpool, with little if any care given to the New Mutants. The movie is even called The New Mutants (and the Amazing Shenanigans of One Wade Wilson). All the others are only there to give Deadpool a supporting cast to bounce off of, and may not even be proper representations of the characters. Here's the thing: Ryan Reynolds is enthusiastic about it, and he helped get the movie made as a producer. Would this be justified?

That's the main issue. They call it Birds of Prey, they feature beloved characters, but it's all about Harley. They should've just made a Harley Quinn solo movie, because that's what this really is.

    Anyone else feel this way?
Actually this was kind of the case with some X Men films with Magneto or Wolverine.

As someone who never read any Birds of Prey and therefore never cared one way or the other how the Birds would be portrayed, and who isn't one of those people utterly sick of Harley Quinn - I liked this! I mean, I get why BoP fans wouldn't, and why anti-Harley peeps wouldn't, but falling into neither of those two groups, this looks like it'll be a fun movie. If nothing else, the trailer looked miles and miles better than what I was expecting.

The spooky sounding Hymne à L’amour is cool. I hope the hyenas survive.

Not even a big fan of the Birds of Prey, but this preview turned me off from seeing it. Tired of Harley, and this is a Harley film in all but name.

Reading the headlines about this movie depresses me as a Birds of Prey fan. To the mainstream media, the Birds are Harley's gang after becoming independent. I need a drink

It's totally the case with the Fox X-Men films, it's one of the many reasons I didn't like them, and why I'm so excited to finally see a team movie under the MCU. Feige gets the whole team concept, so I'm sure he'll be able to get someone who can execute to that.

So yes, it's disappointing to see this same broken way of things done by the DCEU. Dear goddess, will they manage to make this film even less team oriented than Suicide Squad? One shudders to think.

What's with all the sick of Harley stuff? It's only the 2ed movie with her in less than 4 years.

Why is this titled Birds of Prey?

This is clearly a Harley Quinn solo picture. Blech. It appears to be a hard ripoff of Deadpool to boot.

On the plus side, this trailer has shown me enough to know I don't need to follow any more, or see the film. So, I suppose kudos to WB for removing me from the audience at an early stage.

If Cass is wimpified for Harley's sake, we oughta start a new term. Maybe 'Getting Dwayned'?

I think that relates to the number of comics she's in and merchandise

The thing that's really bringing this one down for me is the lack of actual costumes. Harley looks like Harley but everyone else is barely or not at all identifiable as their character, which I don't get since they don't seem to going a serious/grounded tone that much.
