    Default X-books post AvX

Post AvX is the darkest time for X-men franchise. Because of the movie rights marvel was throwing the mutants in the gutter. With dawn of X upon us which books do you think were better among them?

I liked All New X-men and X-men Blue. I greatly enjoyed teen Jean's story

X-men Red too, I liked it but being totally honest I had more fun with Jeen (Still prefer adult Jean)

Bunncanny was the only one that had my enjoyment or interest.

The Bendis and Bunn books, Neither are great but both authors had good potential and good spots in the series. I think both authors started strong but had their runs derailed or halted by what i assume to be backroom politics and editorial mandate. Both ended poorly with a whole lot of hanging plot threads but I never felt insulted reading them. I know Bendis particularly has a poor reputation and I can understand why but his books were entertaining, at least until the "Last Will and Testament" which went nowhere.

Not sure I could recommend much of this or read it.

Bendis is Bendis. Long overdrawn and mostly nothing happening other than him being himself and ignoring continuity. The O5 **** went way too long and overstayed their welcome.

Gold was not good and Guggenheim sucks. Not the worst but ... not good.

Wolverine & The X-Men was about the only decent book on this list.

X-Men Legacy by Spurrier by far best book of the 10's
Then its a mix of Bunn (Magneto) and Hopeless (Cable & XForce, Jeen solo).

Buncanny should have gone on for way longer and he should have been given more toys.

This is the correct answer. Spurrier's Legion story is one for the ages. It might be the most cerebral X-story in recent history until now with Hickman.

    It's only flaw: no Shortpack.

Uncanny X-men by Bunn followed by Bendis´s Uncanny.

    Bendis’ Uncanny.

Forgot about some of the X-Force options, else I would have checked the other box.

Bendis’ two books, for sure. Best Jean and Bobby ever, lots of fan service, fun, two of The Five. It was just cut short.

I didn't read Bunn’s Uncanny. My choice is Wolverine and the X-men. It was silly, funny and unpretentious, so I can’t judge this comic book strictly.

Grr. Accidentally voted for Rosenberg's Uncanny because I mistook it for his Astonishing run. Grr.

    Uncanny X-Men (Bunn)
    All New X-Men (Bendis)
    X-Men Blue
    X-Men Red

The only one I have any interest in ever re-reading is Bunn's Uncanny.
