Well removing the BFR option does curtail them both somewhat as they both have used the signature move of dumping their opponents over vast interstellar distances but I do feel that they are evenly matched in the esoteric department. However Orion could knock off his head clean if he can get the drop on him before he Q shields up whereas Quasar can't do the same if he gets the drop on good old Orion.

Does Quasar have any superspeed? If not does he have any autoshields? Orion has some good speed feats that would allow him to fire off the Astro Force before Quasar can react if he Wendell has no speed feats.

How strong are they? Meaning, can it withstand AOE blasts? If it can then it becomes a serious battle.

Pretty close match to be honest. If Quasar gets a minute to breathe, he might take the W by redirecting Astro Force blasts and what not.

I... /think/ Orion can toss out enough power at the bell to keep him reeling but in open to opinions.

Even if he does get off a blast Quasar has some pretty significant energy manipulating feats so he may just try to drain Orion dry. He does have good travel speed as he managed to outdistance Hyperion who is unable to keep up with him but I don't think he can react at super speed as such.

Orion's Astro Force is limitless, it can't be drained dry like a Green Lantern for example. In any case Mother Box can created shields against that type of issue.

EDIT: It's similar to Darkseid's Omega Effect and Highfather's Alpha Bullets.

Yes, it's supposed to be limitless but are there instances of energy drainers being unable to drain him even temporarily as he keeps on replenishing his power as soon as it's drained?

I would say Quasar's main problem here is that he has no superspeed reaction time to Orion's bit of enhanced reaction time, the aura is otherwise pretty decent (he can get zotted by your various better heralds and still be in the fight), at least as far as abuse from an initial blast, but he's slower than the guy he's fighting, and Mother Box can protect from shenanigans pretty well. Of course Quasar could try to drain the mother box..

But it doesn't get around that Orion should be able to swoop in and start pummeling him before Wendell can get a really good armor construct going around himself or otherwise start doing various construct moves on Orion, going at the mother box, etc. Basically Quasar needs a clear moment here to really get going and he probably won't get it.

I don't really have the impression Orion runs on Astro Force the way Superman runs on solar energy or the Surfer runs on the Power Cosmic. He can fire the astro force, sure, but I think he just IS really strong from his biology.

Orion can also create forcefields with the Astro Force itself. He's done this in his fight against Darkseid.

It's not really something that has any reason to come up. His best move to is to just fly in and start punching Wendell's brain out.
