I feel like this is basically a quickdraw unless one or both of them actually has some general immunity to sonics.

Canary does not, so there's that. She has pretty good reflexes as well, being a high-end comic book martial artist - how is Siryn for reflexes?

Do either of them have any particular range advantage with their respective sonic screams?

100' isn't out of the question for Canary's scream, and it was recently beefed up. Not sure about how well it can be 'aimed' in the NuDC, but in Post-Crisis, she had arrived at the point where she could project sonics in a 'beam' with pretty impressive accuracy if she wanted to do so.

Basically, if Canary fires first and Siryn doesn't have any special resistance to sonics outside of her own use of them, I can see it messing her up enough that Canary takes it.

...wiki (always terribly unreliable) notes Siryn has demonstrated some resistance to sonics. Is this a constant thing, or a one-off?
