Marvel: The Place of Birth List

I asked about New York City in the past, and one of the things I pointed out is that many of the Marvel characters aren't actually native, born and bred New Yorkers, but rather they just tend to operate there. Here, I figure we can all chime in on where each character is from, and I'll update the list as we go. I remember being surprised that a character is from a certain place. Of course, there's foreign and outright fantastical origins too, which counts. It's just a fun thing to do, since I know a lot of people are likely to assume everyone was just born in NYC.

You got to admire Marvel doing research of lesser-known locations for their birth places. Like, most people would write a character from New Mexico as being either from Albuquerque or Santa Fe, not a small place like Los Alamos.

New York's always been a city that attracts outsiders to it, like a moth to a flame, whether it's from outside the city (i.e. rest of America) or outside America (rest of the world). NY makes no distinction.

So whether they come from within the city or outside, it makes no difference. If they weren't New Yorkers before they are now.

It's funny to me because his real name is Cletus Kasady, a hillbilly-esque name that sounds unlikely to be heard outside the Deep South. While NYC has many colorful characters, it's not exactly known for being a land of farmers.
