They still wont let Jean Grey and Magneto be face to face to talk about some of it...lol.

With Jubilee in Excalibur, Chamber and Mondo in New Mutants, I like that Husk is in Fallen Angels. Arguably (and it’s just my opinion), but throwing old teams back together always seems to stall them. Cannonball and Sunspot had more growth in Avengers than in any New Mutants team up since the original. Likewise, X-Factor gave Monet room to grow as Uncanny did for Husk. Throwback team-ups normally seem to put them all right back where they started.

Honestly, I hated Monet in X-Factor and didn't feel she had any growth so much as got simplified down to a hateful violent bitch. PAD's rendition of her is my least favorite tied with Pak, who clearly had nothing for her to do.

I think a new GenX team can give them all room to reconnect while adding more to all the relationships since they're all adults now who've experienced more of the world as X-Men.

But really Monet on any team would be fine, because she, Synch, and Skin are unaccounted for in Wave I. So I am anxiously waiting for whenever they announce Wave II.

I agree that in theory bringing them back together as adults would allow for growth in each off them. I just feel that, given how we’ve seen the New Mutants in their adult interactions, that growth wouldn’t actually manifest. Marvel brings them back together with a sense of “let’s do the tried and tested” instead of just letting them evolve naturally as they should’ve done after all they’ve experienced apart.

I'm just getting home from NYCC. The panel was actually pretty exciting. True, it wasn't as exciting as San Diego when we got all those crazy line ups and all the Wave 1 books announced. But, the energy was high in the room. I'm most excited the R.B. Silva will be doing some art on X-Men. That dude's work is phenomenal and I wanna see how he continues to grow.
