Personally, I hope they finish off the season. Even if it goes into the start of the 20/21 season. I hate to say it, but it is personal for me, as I am an Edmonton Oilers fan and for the first time in a long time, they look like a credible threat to do some damage in the playoffs.

Connor has been himself, even though he hasn't really found a winger that really has chemistry with him. I think part of that is just how good Leon Draisaitl is. A lot of people are reserved to the idea that the numbers Leon has put up so far is a product of McDavid. I wholeheartedly disagree. I think Leon is just such an incredible player that not only can he play with McDavid, he can play with anyone.

Draisaitl has now found a line of his own with RNH and Yamamoto playing on his wings and that line has been especially dangerous for the team. GM Ken Holland has gotten some really good pieces with the likes of Riley Sheahan and Josh Archibald playing a big role in being a top-3 PK team. The Oilers have the best power play in the League thus far. They finally have a healthy defence core, with Ethan Bear emerging as a top-4 defenceman. The goaltending has been pretty solid with both Koskinen and Smith doing their parts to keep the Oilers in the game.

I don't know if the Edmonton Oilers are Cup contenders, but I believe this team is stronger than the one that made the playoffs in the 2016/2017 season, which is why I want to see the season played out and the playoffs to happen.

Oh, I know. I just don't want this season to be considered finished. I don't care when things return to normal, but when they do, I hope they pick up where things left off this season.

Thoughts on the NHL returning, now that July 10, 2020 has been established as the start of training camp 2.0?

I am excited for August 1, 2020, but nervous at the same time. It feels like anything can happen with these play ins. My Edmonton Oilers take on Chicago and I am nervous. I post on another message board and they are pumping their chest, but I have a feeling Chicago will make it really difficult.

I just hope they are able to pull it off safely. Thankfully they are all in Canada.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if the NHL can succeed. I hope they can.

Travel is what's going to kill pro sports attempts. It's one thing to bubble players, but regular travel is going to introduce problems, I believe.

    We'll see...

It's fine. The name is fine. I don't love it, but whatever.

Hmmm, I was hoping to see a giant octopus with tentacles and all, but looking forward to having a rivalry with a Seattle team. I will definitely be crossing the line to catch a game down there now and then.
