Humans on Krakoa

So this might have already been covered in another thread. If so please direct me there but there are so many threads about this subject I am not sure if it has been covered. So even with the idea that humans can only travel via escort through the portals I had an idea I wanted to ask if it has been covered.

Once they are on the island or habitat whats stopping them from just staying there. It is supposed to be a self sustaining community. Maybe they have humans that live full time on the island and just never leave it. Like some of the X-Men allies from the past that might be persecuted for being mutant lovers.

I'm more concerned about what's keeping Wolverine from leaving. If we look at his history, Wolverine has more human friends he close with than mutants. Other than Nightcrawler, Storm, Jubilee, and maybe X23, I'd say his ties to folks like Mac and Heather Hudson, Mariko, and Amiko are stronger than anyone else in the mutant community.

It sounds more like humans have to be accompanied by a mutant, which seems rather hypocritical. So mutants expect to own property off of the island, but humans can't do it on the island?

I don't think so. Ever since he came back, he hasn't had much of a life outside the X-Men focus stuff.

Is the question about the laws regarding humans taking up residence or the enforcement of whatever laws? If it is the latter, it sounds like Krakoa has ways to deal with anyone not welcome.

I’m gonna go ahead and assume that non-mutants will be allowed a semi-permanent presence in some limited spaces. Storm said she wants mutants to own land in man’s world (if they please) so I think something equivalent might be offered to humans who decide to split time between Krakoa and the outside. It’ll probably be heavily supervised though because infiltration will probably be a constant concern.
