The Hellions. especially Catseye, Tarot, and Roulette.
All the New X-Men kids that got senselessly butchered due to no reason but bad writing. especially Wallflower and Wither.
Avalanche.
Rusty.
Some Acolytes especially the early ones like Chrome.
Berzerker and Scaleface. Few of the cooler Morlocks that didn't do much.
Some of Gene Nation. Sack. Vessel. Hemingway.
Nasty Boys. Bring yo boys back Sinister.
the mutant Dark Riders like Lifeforce, Hurricane and Spyne.
some MLF like Locus, Feral, and Tempo
Diamond Lil.
Birdy. she can come looking for Sabretooth.
Mammomax. yep even him.
Bolt. his friendship with Maverick was fun.
Genesis. you know Cable's son who seems very much forgotten.
Risque
and Wildchild. screw that stupid weird confusing Romulus stuff.
there's a lot of potential here and I maybe forgot some
Is it me, but after looking at all your replies, that mutants tend to get butchered or used as cannon fodder a lot in the 616 universe?
I never realised so many were dead.
I'm sure if we trawled through the Avengers, we'd find a lot of B and C-list members that have died and stayed dead too. But yeah, the X-Men tend to have a lot of disposable tertiary cast, probably because new characters have such an easy in.

I think one of the books will be about the resurrection protocol, they have to make sure a mutant is really dead before resurrecting him.
Wild Child is one of the few dead mutants that werent resurrected on panel during Necrosha. and he was much better known than many of the resurrected ones (I remember Sienna Blaze, Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Bolt getting resurrected in Necrosha).
The last we saw of him was Omega Red throwing him into molten steel, but being a mutant with a healing factor, he probably could have survived that.
writers get lazy and do a lot of shock factor deaths or just pointless killing. case in point Yost and Kyle taking over New X-Men and killing all the kids with no meaning.
but yes the mutants get used and abused .... butchered or cannon foddered way too much
tons of it goes nowhere.
The whole Neverland prison camp could have worked if it went somewhere. instead a bunch of mutants died for no reason with no consequences. that doesn't even get listed in Hickman's list of crimes against mutants.
Can Prodigy die and come back in one of them tree eggs, pretty please?
