I'll hate to go dig into my back issues, but could Everett sync with non-mutants? Any way...
I loved that he could utilize others powers better than they could. I wished he could have gone all out on some one like Gideon did to the New Warriors back in the day.

I mean, green hair man-handled them. Synch should have been just as bad-ass!

Synch has been my favorite GenXer since the beginning. I’m not counting Blink though (AoA shenanigans mostly).

Changed my avatar to honor him, and to give hope to some writer folding Ev into a book to mold him a new path.

I’m a bit fuzzy on this, but I think I recall an instance of Everett synching with a non-mutant. It might have been in one of the GenX novels, thus not canon.

I know he synced with Spider-Man once... but I think there was another factor that helped him be able to do so. I think they were fighting some plant guy or something.

It was in amazing Spider-Man written by Tom deflaco. I have the issue but have to look for it. One of the ultra few stories with synch by himself outside of x books.

He is technically Hope with a twist.
He's also Prodigy with a twist.

Prodigy: acquires knowledge and skills from any and every one

Synch: acquires powers from mutants only

Make it make sense. Unless Synch is just the black Mimic and Rogue

I love Everett Thomas. I'm so happy we're going to be seeing him again!

In my 25+ years of reading X-Books I only took ONE break and I missed the introduction of these fine young mutants. I'm glad I caught up!

It’s telling that they’re still being pushed in the X-Universe even if they aren’t being given very prominent roles. I want more more Gen X/New X-Men interactions though. Like Synch interacting with X-23 and Bling! or comparing the Black American experience to the Wakandan experience with Gentle.
