    I think that's how Priest writes. I read three different series that he wrote and he had the story go back and forward from the past to the present. It does get confusing since there is no narration if you're reading the present or past so I just avoid his books.

    I'm a fairly consistent Vampi reader since the Harris days (and have read some of the older Warren stuff too) but I have to say that I've really been enjoying what Priest has been doing. I also found Mindwarp fun.

    Priest and Ergun Gunduz took Vampi from a character I like to a character I love. This is equivalent to Gail Simone's Red Sonja run.
    I still miss Renee Montoya. Oh, and I'm a dude.
